Becky(Cosmic Empress) is a costumer, model, and cosplay entertainer based in Houston, TX. She encountered the joys of costuming at an early age through dressing up for movie premiers, and early on set her sights on a goal of making Star Wars costumes. Becky has had a handful of sewing lessons over the years, but considers herself largely self-taught. Though she has constructed a wide range of costumes, her favorite type of costuming involves large, elaborate dresses which make her feel especially girly.
Becky has won several awards for her cosplay efforts, including Best Masterclass Craftsmanship and Best in Show, for her attention to detail and extravagant cosplays at such events as Anime Expo and Houston’s Japan Festival.

In a Time of Cosplay
Cosplaying for over 10 years, In a Time of Cosplay has leveled up many crafting talents while making costumes and is still amazed by how nice the available wigs are these days. Forever a fan of mecha and magical girls she spends her time either sewing ruffles or knee deep in metallic spandex and paint. She also enjoys hours upon hours of embroidery and specialty hand sewing, discovering new and exciting supports in Fire Emblem, browsing the dankest memes, and making costumes for her cosplay partner, a Cubone named Norman.
Special Guest Kira Buckland
will also be judging for the San Japan Cosplay Contest.
